PRIVACY POLICY

Kama Flight Foundation ("Kama Flight," "we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect through kamaflight.com and related services (together, the "Site"), how we use and share that information, and the choices available to you. This Privacy Policy is incorporated into, and should be read alongside, our Terms of Service and Terms of Sale.

By using the Site, making a purchase, registering for a Class, Workshop, Retreat, Teacher Training, Private Lesson, or Kama At Home subscription, or making a donation, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this Privacy Policy.


1. Information We Collect

We collect the following categories of information:

  • Identifiers and contact information: name, email address, phone number, billing and shipping address, and account login credentials.

  • Order and transaction information: what you purchased or registered for (Classes, Workshops, Retreats, Teacher Training, Private Lessons, Kama At Home, the Kama Flight Table), order history, and amounts paid.

  • Payment information: Kama Flight does not directly store your full credit card or bank details. Payment is processed by a third-party Payment Processor (see Section 3), which collects and stores this information subject to its own privacy policy.

  • Donation information: if you make a donation through the Site (including donation-based Jams), we and our donation-processing partner (DonateMate) collect your name, contact information, and donation amount, and may issue you a donation receipt.

  • Account and profile information: information you provide when creating a Kama Flight Account or Kama At Home membership, including any content you post (e.g., comments on class videos through Kajabi).

  • Communications: messages you send us (e.g., to info@kamaflight.com, support@kamaflight.com, or an instructor), and your marketing preferences (email/SMS opt-in and opt-out status).

  • Usage and device information: IP address, browser type, device information, pages viewed, and similar data collected automatically through cookies and similar technologies when you use the Site (see Section 2).

  • Information related to in-person Experiences: for Classes, Workshops, Retreats, and Teacher Training, we may collect photographs and video of you, as described in our Terms of Sale, and any health, safety, or emergency-contact information you voluntarily provide to us or an instructor in connection with attending an in-person Experience.

We do not intend to collect any personal information from anyone under the age of 21. The Service is not directed to, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from, individuals under 21. If we learn we have collected personal information from someone under 21, we will delete it.


2. Cookies and Similar Technologies

Like most websites, we and our service providers use cookies, pixels, and similar tracking technologies to operate the Site, remember your preferences, understand how visitors use the Site, and support marketing and advertising.

You can control cookies through your browser settings, including blocking or deleting cookies; doing so may affect how the Site functions. Where required by applicable law, we will present a cookie consent banner allowing you to accept or decline non-essential cookies.


3. How We Use and Share Your Information

We use your information to:

  • Process orders, registrations, subscriptions, and donations, and to communicate with you about them.

  • Deliver digital content (Kama At Home videos and resources are hosted and delivered via Kajabi).

  • Provide customer support and respond to your requests.

  • Send you marketing communications about Classes, Workshops, Retreats, Teacher Training, and other Kama Flight offerings, where you have opted in (and to let you opt out at any time).

  • Operate, maintain, and improve the Site and our Services.

  • Comply with legal obligations, including tax and nonprofit recordkeeping requirements related to donations.

We share your information with:

  • Shopify, which hosts our online store and processes order data on our behalf.

  • Our Payment Processor, to process payments for Classes, Workshops, Retreats, Teacher Training, Private Lessons, Kama At Home, and the Kama Flight Table.

  • DonateMate, to process donations and donation-based Jams.

  • Kajabi, to deliver Kama At Home video content and manage related account access.

  • Shipping carriers, solely for orders that require physical delivery (the Kama Flight Table).

  • Service providers who support our marketing, email/SMS communications, and site analytics.

  • Instructors, to the extent necessary to deliver a Private Lesson, Class, Workshop, Retreat, or Teacher Training you've registered for.

  • Professional advisors (lawyers, accountants, auditors) as needed.

  • Law enforcement or regulators, where required by law, subpoena, or legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Kama Flight, our users, or the public.

We do not sell your personal information to third parties for money. Depending on your state of residence, certain sharing described above (e.g., for advertising purposes, if applicable) may be considered a "sale" or "share" under some state privacy laws — see Section 5 for your rights regarding this.


4. Data Retention and Security

We retain your personal information for as long as necessary to provide the Services, comply with our legal and tax obligations (including nonprofit donation recordkeeping), resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your personal information; however, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

 

5. Your Rights and Choices

  • Marketing opt-out. You may unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time using the unsubscribe link in any email, or by texting STOP in response to any SMS message. You may still receive transactional messages related to a purchase or registration.

  • Access, correction, and deletion. You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information by emailing info@kamaflight.com. We will respond within a reasonable time and as required by applicable law.

  • California residents. If you are a California resident, you may have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act ("CCPA/CPRA"), including the right to know what personal information we have collected about you, the right to request deletion, the right to correct inaccurate information, and the right to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information (to the extent applicable). To exercise these rights, contact us at info@kamaflight.com. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.

  • International users, including Colombia. If you are located outside the United States, please note that your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States, where our servers and service providers are located, and U.S. data protection laws may differ from those of your country. For users in Colombia, we aim to honor applicable rights under Colombia's Ley 1581 de 2012 (Habeas Data), including rights to know, update, and delete your personal information; contact us at info@kamaflight.com to exercise these rights.

  • Do Not Track. Our Site does not currently respond to browser "Do Not Track" signals.

6. Third-Party Links

The Site may contain links to third-party websites, including our Payment Processor, Kajabi, and DonateMate. This Privacy Policy does not apply to those third-party sites. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party site you visit.

7. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will post the updated policy on this page and update the "Last Updated" date above. Your continued use of the Site after a change becomes effective constitutes your acceptance of the revised Privacy Policy.

8. Governing Law

This Privacy Policy is governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles, consistent with our Terms of Service.
