What’s A Kama Floor Experience Like?
Grab a partner (friends welcome) and join us on this lyrical body/mind journey. During each experience, you’ll be instructed on the foundational moves of Kama Floor, a combination of Acro Yoga, Thai massage, and partner dance - performed on a padded floor mat. No prior experience is necessary.
Participants should be physically healthy, relatively free from injury, and comfortable giving and receiving touch while sitting closely together on a mat. Visit us on Instagram to see Kama Floor in action @kamafloor

Explain the Different Modalities
Most people live in their heads, disconnected from their bodies and each other. Being grounded brings you back—into your breath, your body, and the present moment.
When you share that presence with someone, connection becomes something you feel, not just think about. That’s where real trust, intimacy, and aliveness begin.
Massage table (elevated)
Floor / mat (grounded)
Lifts, scoops, supported backbends
Rolling, leaning, touch-based
Dynamic, aerial, structured
Grounded, softer, exploratory
Requires table, more technical
Low setup, more casual

Questions Before You Fly?
Whether it’s your first time flying, a new partner, or a new day…no two Kama Flights will be the same. Here are some commonly asked questions about our in-person class experience.
Our full list of FAQs is here. Or you may ask our ChatBot.
What’s the difference between a Workshop, Class and Jam?
- Workshop: 2-hr deep-dive for intro level Kama Flight or Floor. Instructors will teach (20+ foundational moves); each workshop is designed for new learners to go from zero to hero.
- Class: 1-hr format for intermediate level Kama Flight ~ perfect for those who have already attended a Workshop. Instructors will teach a structured flow (5-7 Kama moves); each class offers a new flow so you can keep your practice fresh.
- Jam: 3-hr gatherings for all levels of Kama Flight and Floor. No formal instruction will take place. This is a time for community connection, enjoying light food, beverages, and open Kama Flight play with new partners, or 1:1 Instructor support.
Who should attend?
Those with previous Kama Flight experience or who are just Kama-curious are encouraged to attend a Kama Floor workshop.
We strive to create a space to practice relationships that is always high-trust, low-pressure, and fun.
Participants should be reasonably free from injury and comfortable giving and receiving touch.
Explain "Base" and "Voyager" roles?
A "Voyager" is the partner who is stretched, supported, lifted (sometimes) and moved by the "Base". This state of surrender cultivates a sense of freedom and relaxation while engaging in a playful, immersive practice.
A "Base" is the partner who supports and guides the movements of the "Voyager" through various sequences and postures. The Base provides stability and strength, facilitating the Voyager's experience.
NOTE: At times, a Base will wish to lift the Voyager's body (approx.150 lbs); modifications will be offered.
What should I wear?
The Base and the Voyager should have legs fully covered (yoga pants) to help with movement.
Athletic, fitted tops/t-shirts are recommended; please avoid tank tops.
Please bring a water bottle.
Be seen. Be heard. Be present.
